Let's get creative.
Writer | Editor | Project Manager
Who is this girl?
Hi! I'm Addison. I'm a comedian, writer, editor, project manager, and producer based in Chicago, Illinois. Like many millennials, I've got a wide range of titles and a wide range of experience. I'm interested in creative businesses, nonprofits, and arts organizations, but truly open to any work experience that challenges me in a respectful environment.
Professional
Currently, I work in digital marketing as a project manager and copywriter. I handle social media accounts, work as a virtual assistant, and write SEO blogs for a wide variety of clients, including lawyers, financial advisors, pet energy healers, and holistic practitioners. My diverse range of client experience in this role has helped me hone my ability to quickly adapt to a pre-established voice and has been a great asset to my client management skills as well as my copywriting capabilities.
Additionally, I'm a co-editor of Little Old Lady Comedy, a long-running literary humor website. After taking over from the previous editors, I oversaw a complete website re-design with a full branding makeover and implemented a new streamlined submission process. Along with my editing partner, we read and respond to ~75-100 submissions each month, update the website and four social media accounts daily, manage and respond to readers and contributors daily via email, and run the Little Old Lady Patreon.
Creative
I've been a writer, performer, and producer in the vibrant Chicago comedy scene since 2018, working at theaters all over the city including iO Chicago, The Second City, and The Annoyance. In that time, I've written, produced, and performed in over 10 full-length sketch comedy shows, founded an improv team, "Improvised Disney Channel Original Movie", and written a 60-minute TV pilot (available by request).
I'm also the founder and host of "Flirting with Failure", an interview-style podcast where I chat with awesome people about their journey to success through the lens of past mistakes. With the help of my friends Jason and Gabby at Anarcast Studios, I started this project during the pandemic, resulting in 13 full-length episodes, all of which are still available on Spotify and Apple.
Lastly, I'm really good at crossword puzzles. You can do whatever you want with that info.
