Sketch Comedy

Since moving to Chicago in January 2018, I have written, produced, and performed in over a dozen full-length sketch revues around the city. I can safely say that my love for sketch comedy inspires everything I do, from my day-to-day interactions on the street to how I approach professional team meetings. Sketch has given me the gift of being able to pull creative ideas from every aspect of my day. Bad date? Done. Wrote a sketch about it. The granola woman checking me out at REI says something out of pocket about my body? I'm not mad. I've already created a whole character based on my two-minute interaction with her and it's going in my next show. Kids I nanny gave me head lice? I'm a little mad, but I'm also going to write and sing an original song from the POV of the lice (video included at the bottom of this page.) Inspiration is truly everywhere and I am forever grateful to the Chicago sketch comedy scene for teaching me this wonderful lesson.
